Fenty Beauty by Rhianna has to be one of the most talked about brands on the planet right now. With their extensive foundation shade range and exciting line expansion, it is safe to say the bar has been raised.
After what seemed like a lifetime of waiting, I was able to go into a Sephora store this past weekend and find all shades available in the Pro Filt’r Foundation!

Finding my shade
Thankfully, I went into the store with a helper to find my shade. I tried about four shades, starting at 430 and all the way down to 390. I was almost sold on 390, but after letting the product set and oxidize for about 2-3 minutes, I found 400 was the best match.
Overall, I found the shade selection to be out of this world, but in a good way. I thought a lot of the shades in my range came off orange, but being honest with myself, I do have more red and yellow undertones (Red+Yellow=Orange).
Foundation wear
After three days of wearing Fenty Pro Filt’r Soft Matte Longwear foundation I am in love with it! I compared the Pro Filt’r to bareMinerals BarePro Performance Liquid Foundation that I was wearing daily. With the BarePro I would have to blot and/or powder at least twice a day, so I was nervous about the soft matte with my oily skin. My job requires me to be out and about for at least 12 hours a day, so I need a foundation that will last. I can honestly say this Fenty foundation has earned the longwear title.

It’s light weight, breathable and has a gorgeous finish. I applied mine with a beauty blender which allowed me to blend effortlessly and build the coverage. I do have to set my whole face with a finishing power, but I do not find my skin to be too oily by the end of the day. I can see this foundation being a little too matte for those with dry skin though.
Overall satisfaction
Bravo RiRi! This foundation is definitely worth the hype and $34 price tag. After such success with the foundation, I am starting to venture into the more products from the line such as the Mattemoiselle lipsticks and Galaxy eyeshadow palette.
Stay tuned for more images and info on these!
Sincerely,
Chanee L.
Very well written post. Where did you get the beauty blender that you used?

Thanks Shelly! I got it from Sephora for about $20. It took me a while to spend the money on it but it’s worth it!
